Anastasia Icons a Journey to Sacred Art
Anastasia was born in England with over 30 years of experience in painting, she works with a variety of mediums to bring her artistic vision to life.
Since 2013, she has been devoted to the Sacred Art of religious Iconography , drawing upon the rich traditions and craftsmanship of this timeless practice. Guided by a deep calling, she strives to create prayer, reflection and a sense of the Divine.
She has been studying Iconography in Cyprus with an Icon teacher for 4 years. Learning the solid foundation using traditional materials. Also she studied with Adrian Hart, a professional Icon teacher on one of his courses.
She is now able to use the experience to express an exciting, genuine, and impactful approach to painting Icons, using the ancient proplasmos and membrane techniques as appropriate to the subject.
She works in traditional egg tempera using 24k gold leaf and watercolor pigment powders.

Anastasia is a Christian also a Sacred Art Painter: She is living in beautiful Cyprus, who artistically brings to life truth, goodness.
Since 2013 Anastasia has been painting Icons, had private Commissions and worked on Magazines for her local Christian Church. She stumbled into a charity shop in England and the Icon Hodegitria was sitting on the self in all her glory, she was taken by the beauty of Mother and Child which she has always been drawn to because of her motherless childhood. She knew nothing about Icons but felt a drawing towards finding out more about this beautiful work.- For the past 30 years she has been on the journey in a tradition that has enlivened every part of her life, from her marriage to spiritual living and thinking. It gave her a purpose and lifestyle for meditation and painting Icon images that date back 2,000 years. She has not always painted Icons but always felt the pull back to this sacred art, never really feeling worthy to paint such Holy images.
Anastasia is heavily inspired by Icons and Christian Art.
She loves the Saints and their Stories of Courage for the sake of Christ. Anastasia seeks to live her life as artist who paints Divine images, sharing the word of God through art, also God’s Beauty to as many people as possible.
Prophetic Art is her next adventure with the invisible spirit.
