Anastasia is an English-born artist with over 30 years of painting experience, working across a range of mediums to express her evolving creative vision.
Since 2013, her focus has been on the sacred art of religious iconography — drawing on centuries of tradition while bringing a fresh and thoughtful approach to this timeless craft. Guided by a deep sense of purpose, her work is designed to inspire prayer, reflection, and connection with the Divine.
Anastasia has spent four years studying iconography in Cyprus under the mentorship of a master teacher, developing a solid foundation in traditional techniques and materials. She has also furthered her training with professional iconographer Adrian Hart, refining her craft and artistic voice.
Today, Anastasia brings this wealth of knowledge to each piece she creates — combining ancient methods such as proplasmos and membrane layering with her own artistic sensitivity. Her icons are painted in the traditional way, using egg tempera, natural pigments, and hand-applied 24k gold leaf.
Each icon is a labor of love — a meeting of devotion, craft, and artistic expression — designed to bring beauty, meaning, and presence into any space.

Anastasia is a Christian sacred art painter living in the beautiful landscape of Cyprus, where she brings to life images rooted in truth, goodness, and spiritual beauty.
Her journey with icon painting began in 2013, but the seed was planted years earlier. One day, in a small charity shop in England, she discovered an icon of the Hodegetria — the Mother and Child — sitting quietly on a shelf. Drawn to its beauty and serenity, and carrying her own story of a motherless childhood, she felt an unexplainable pull toward this sacred tradition. Without knowing anything about icons, her heart knew there was something there for her to discover.
Over the past 30 years, this calling has shaped not only her art but her entire life — from marriage to spiritual practice. Icon painting became her anchor, offering purpose, stillness, and reflection. Through prayer and meditation, she now brings ancient images to life, following traditional techniques that date back over 2,000 years.
Anastasia has completed private commissions and contributed artwork for her local Christian church’s magazines. Though she has sometimes wrestled with feelings of unworthiness to paint such holy images, her faith and devotion continue to guide her hand.
Inspired by the courage of the Saints and the rich traditions of Christian art, Anastasia’s mission is clear: to share the beauty and truth of God through her work and to inspire others with images that speak to the heart and spirit.
Her next chapter embraces Prophetic Art — exploring how the invisible spirit can be made visible through creativity and divine inspiration.
